Pinky's Rating (out of 5): 5 stars

After reading Paradox – The Angels are Here, where we are introduced to the two worlds; I was keen to start on my copy of Paradox – Progeny of Innocence.

The novel starts in 1081AD with a more in depth understanding of the Grigorians, the lives of Abaddon, Cerberus and Theria, as well as new characters Temulun, a Bakari servant, and Keyla who has the gift of the Ancients.  We are then propelled forward to 2009 and the story of Grace continues.

Grace is a bright 16 year old who after losing her father at age 11 continues to have extremely vivid dreams. Dreams about things that seem familiar, faces, places and the name - Juliette.

Who is Juliette and why is she haunting Grace's dreams, and will Grace be able to figure it all out before a war that has been raging for centuries engulfs them all.

In a quiet suburb of Darwin there are more beings afoot than just humans, and just who really are the Goths, and on who’s side are they? We are introduced to a host of support characters and their connection to the ancient world but are they Gregorian or Bulgardian; you will need to read for yourself.

If you like a good suspense story, Progeny of Innocence will keep you wanting more. I can’t wait for the next instalment to find out more about "The Fallen".
